In Silverdale a drowning rain didn’t stop players, coaches and hardy fans from turning out for a friendly fundraiser match between WestSound FC coaches, a few men’s players, and a group of U-17’s from WestSound’s youth club. It poured, the wind blew, goals were scored and money was raised in the first official event for the new team. In Bellingham, BUFC held their annual FIFA soccer video game tournament with players and fans. The event was held at the club’s home pub, The Copper Hog, and was sponsored by local games store Reset Games. See a few photos from The Hammers Facebook Page below.

The Evergreen Premier League will reveal the dates and match-ups  for its inaugural 2014 season tonight at 6 PM at the official league website. The eight clubs in the new elite men’s statewide soccer league will play fourteen matches each in a balanced home / away schedule. The historic first match will take place on April 26 and the season will conclude with the final match on July 20th. In-between a total of 56 matches will decide who finishes atop the table and thus wins the first EPLWA championship.
