Shadow align with Nike; host re-launch party on Sunday April 27

The Spokane Shadow have announced Nike Soccer as the official equipment brand. The manufacturer will provide the official game balls and field equipment for the 2014 EPLWA home games for the Shadow. The men’s side will also be the first to play in the new uniform design selected by the club, which will be phased in over the next two years within the youth teams.

“Nike has been a good partner for the Shadow recently, and we are excited to expand our relationship through the EPLWA team in 2014,” said Spokane SC Shadow Technical Director Abbas Faridnia.

Among the notable parts of the arrangement, Nike is supplying its industry-leading ball, the Incyte Hi-Vis model, as the Shadow’s official game ball for the 2014 season. The Incyte model is also the official ball for the FA Cup, the English Premier League, Italy’s Serie A and Spain’s La Liga. This is the bright, bold high visibility version. Nike’s Incyte textured cover is backed up by a five-layer construction for optimal first-touch feel and quick control with a very elastic response layer that responds to the foot’s strike to create accurate power. The Incyte is designed to be perfectly round to spread pressure evenly around the ball for consistent flight and the Nike RaDaR technology with the highly visible targeting pattern makes the Incyte easy to see on the field.

The Spokane Shadow open their season May 3 at the newly-renovated Spokane Falls Community College. Ticket packages and merchandise are available at https://squareup.com/market/ssc-shadow-soccer-club
