SILVERDALE, WA — WestSound FC goalkeeper Jordan Hadden did his best to keep the South Sound Shock at bay, as did the left post, in a first half of near misses for the visitors. After the break the Shock used their speed and passing to score twice and take the WestSound FC home opener, 2-0.

Before the match WestSound FC was presented with their inaugural EPLWA season plaque and special league scarves.

South Sound took the lead in the 63rd minute when Frankie Lopez rounded up a Taylor Jackson pass and waited for Hadden to make his move. Hadden moved left and Lopez calmly shot back to his right and into the net. It was Lopez who had hit the left post in the first half.
It was 2-0 to the visitors in the 73rd after Vincent McCluskey attacked at the top left of the WestSound penalty area and perfectly chipped a shot over Hadden into the far corner.

WestSound FC had a few moments on the attack, some coming from the right side work of Kyle Schoales. For the most part South Sound goalkeeper Chris Kintz wasn’t troubled by the home club.
The home side was backed by a crowd announced at 204.
Next up for WestSound FC is an away match at Vancouver Victory FC May 4th at 2 PM. South Sound travels to Yakima to face the Hoppers May 4 at 1 PM.
