Coaching connections made this opportunity possible, says Victory owner Barrett Goddard. “The gentleman who set this up is Lennie Quashie. He played soccer with Biniam (Afenegus, Victory head coach) and Sean (Janson, assistant coach) at Concordia University Portland . They were all in college together.”

The players range in age from 18 to 20 years. There is experience in the group with national teams and local clubs alike. They span the pitch. One’s mainly a defender, one a midfielder, one an attacker.

The players were featured in an AntiguaFootball.com story about their USA move. It can be read at: http://antiguafootball.com/news/countrys-youngsters-seek-opportunities-abroad/
