WENATCHEE, WA — Wenatchee United FC used a first half goal from Eleazar Galvan to ride to an eventual 2-0 win over WestSound FC on Saturday night June 21 at Mike Hollis Field at Wenatchee Valley Community College.

An own goal by WestSound in the second half provided the other score.
Galvan’s winner was his 4th goal of the year. He leads the Capitals in goals and is also in the EPLWA top ten in scoring.

It was the third straight win for the Capitals and was the first time in EPLWA history that a club registered consecutive shut outs. Previously WUFC had blanked Yakima, 4-0.
The owner of the clean sheet is Colin Benham-Marin, who was also in front of the Wenatchee goal against Yakima. Benham-Marin now has two shut outs on the year, which ties him for the league lead. Benham-Marin played college soccer for the Yotes of the College of Idaho.
Wenatchee improves to 4-5-0 with 12 standings points and they move to 5th in the table as they jump over Yakima United.
WestSound FC is now 2-7-1, in 6th place with 7 standings points. The match drew 176 fans.
