BELLINGHAM, WA — Tyler Bjork raised his league-leading goal total to 11 on Saturday night as Bellingham United FC beat Wenatchee United FC 4-2 at Civic Stadium. The two leading Capitals scorers each chipped in a goal in the match as well.

Bjork started his brace early by scoring in the 8th minute on an assist from Conlon Kifney. The two switch roles a bit later to make it 2-0 as Kifney scored and Bjork provided the assist.
Wenatchee United stayed closed in the 35th when Yonaton Rodriguez scored his 4th goal of the season. It was 2-1 at the half.
Bjork got his brace in the 55th minute on a free kick to give the Hammers some breathing room at 3-1.
The Capitals would not surrender and got one back just 3 minutes later when Eleazar Galvan scored his goal 5th of the year. It was 3-2 Hammers.
Kurtis Pedersen’s score ended the goal count and BUFC held for a 4-2 win before 287 fans.
BUFC is now 6-4-1 on the season with 19 standings points, putting some distance between themselves and Wenatchee, who falls to 4-6-0 and remains on 12 points.
The Hammers are now tied for third in the league with Spokane. The Shadow have two matches in hand. The loss ends Wenatchee’s three-match winning streak.
