SPOKANE, WA — Results had already determined that the Evergreen Premier League title would be decided on the final day of the season, Sunday July 20th. Saturday night’s Spokane win gives them one hand on the EPLWA Cup. They can put the other one on it with a win over Wenatchee on Sunday.

The Seattle Stars suffered an apparent transportation issue that left some of their players in Moses Lake. So they started with 9 men and that was eventually reduced to 8 due to an injury. Seattle kept going but Spokane kept scoring in an 11-0 final score. Of note was an early hat trick by Mike Ramos, who jumps to second in league scoring with 10 goals.
Spokane improves to 9-2-2 on 29 points. South Sound FC drops to second place at 9-3-1 on 28 points. The Vancouver Victory have been eliminated from title contention as they are back at 25 points with one match to go. That match is Sunday July 20 at McKenzie Stadium against South Sound. If the Shock win that match then Spokane must match it with a win at 5 PM at Spokane Falls CC against Wenatchee United. If the Shock and Victory draw or if the Victory beat South Sound then Spokane will be champs before they even kick off on Sunday.
Seattle finishes their first season in the EPLWA in 7th place with a 4-8-2 record on 14 points.
Spokane goals: Ramos (3), Talley (3), Mueller (2), Valderamma, Weller, Le.
