GoalWA-Logo-300Moments of magic came fast a furious for Bjork when he established league records for goals in a match and goals in one half (both six) when BUFC topped Yakima United 8-2 on June 8th at Civic Stadium. The amazing performance was backed up by seven other goals throughout the season for Tyler.

“It was surreal,” Bjork said in a Bellingham Herald feature. “I laughed about it to myself during the game. I was like ‘What on earth is happening?'” But happen it did, and overal 13 goals were enough to edge out Spokane’s fabulous flyer Mike Ramos, who scored 11.

“I’ve been enjoying myself and having a lot of fun,” Bjork also said in the Herald story. “When I’m out there, I’m free from whatever stresses there may be at the time. None of those are on my mind when I’m on the field. I want to take advantage of that. I feel at peace when I’m out there.”

Tyler will receive a plaque acknowledging his season along with a $100 gift certificate to the business of his choice, courtesy of local soccer news website www.goalWA.net.
