BELLINGHAM, WA— Bellingham United Football Club has some big news to share as they prepare for their second season in the Evergreen Premier League. A Longtime player has signed with a USL Pro club, and the BUFC shirts will keep their iconic look thanks to a local pub.
Bellingham United FC is proud to announce and congratulate Oscar Jimenez as he has signed a professional contract to play for the new USL Pro side Tulsa Roughnecks. Jimenez has played for BUFC for the entirety of the club’s establishment, as well as playing for the Sounders 23 for the past two summers. Both on and off the field, he has had a strong influence on the game and soccer community. His strong ability and commitment to the team have made Oscar a key player on the field as well as a Hammers fan favorite. “The fans were outstanding and made my time with Bellingham United truly worthwhile,” commented Jimenez.
Jimenez made a large impact on every game as a stalwart in the Bellingham United midfield, creating countless opportunities in the midfield for his teammates to score, and putting some goals away himself. Jimenez stated, “The past three years playing for Bellingham United have been invaluable in my soccer career.” In regards to his experience playing for BUFC, Jimenez remarked, “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed playing with some of my closest friends and being such an integral part of the Bellingham soccer community.”
Head coach of the Tulsa Roughnecks, David Irving, has many positive things to say about Jimenez’s performance on the field. Irving noted a few of Jimenez’s strongest qualities including his ability to play smart and exceptional technical skill on the ball.

Bellingham United F.C. is excited and proud to announce that Bellingham’s soccer pub, The Copper Hog Gastropub has agreed to extend their partnership with the semi pro men’s soccer squad. The iconic Copper Hog logo will adorn the front of the Bellingham United home and away jerseys for the next two years as the title sponsor of the Hammers. This is fitting as Bellingham’s soccer team is partnering with Bellingham’s premier soccer restaurant and pub.

The Copper Hog over the past three years has been the host for a wide variety of BUFC events, from the match day beer garden, pre-season X-box tournament, to post match gatherings with United players and fans at the Copper Hog at 1327 North State Street. As an all ages establishment until late evening, the Copper Hog has been great place to connect players, coaches and fans as many of the Hammers fans, young and old, get the opportunity to talk and mingle with the players following games.

Bellingham United Football Club is a premier semi-pro men’s soccer team based in Bellingham, Washington. The club plays year round. In the spring the club plays in the Evergreen Premier League-Washington (EPL WA). Bellingham United F.C. home matches are played in Civic Stadium in Bellingham with the season running late April through the end of July. In the winter months the squad goes indoors playing in the Western Indoor Soccer League (WISL) playing their home matches at the Bellingham Sportsplex from November to February.
