Inland Northwest Soccer News is proud to announce that the regional soccer news site is joining goalWA.net as the Evergreen Premier League’s second official media partner, providing in-depth coverage of the eight-team league.
Yakima United, Wenatchee FC and Spokane Shadow will feature prominently on the site, based in Spokane, as part of INWsn’s coverage zone that follows the sport east of the Cascades in Washington and Oregon as well as the states of Idaho and Montana. The three teams in the region were very competitive in 2014 with the Shadow winning the league title, Yakima handing Spokane one of its two losses and Wenatchee sweeping their central Washington foes. In addition to having three area teams, the champion Shadow as the eastern-most based club, featured several players from Idaho and Montana in its return to the pitch last year.
“I am excited to add EPLWA to the site heading into its second season. After spending the first season on the sidelines in other capacities, I am looking forward to providing another outlet for covering the league and sharing the stories on and off the field,” said Gerald Barnhart of INWsoccernews.
Coverage of the league will begin in earnest this weekend with ‘EPLWA Saturday in Spokane’ on March 28. It will be a full day of Evergreen Premier League action in the Lilac City as the Spokane Shadow begins preparing for their title defense with tryout sessions in the morning and evening, sandwiching a friendly at Gonzaga University where the Bulldogs will play host to Yakima United at 1:00. INWsn will be there for all the action, providing recaps, photo and video.
INWsoccernews.com was launched March 31 of 2012 and is about to celebrate its third anniversary of covering and celebrating the sport at all levels through news and photos. Throughout its coverage, it has featured 30 area collegiate teams as well as following players at dozens of additional schools around the nation. The site has photographed over 150 collegiate games/events in addition to shooting dozens of high school matches and hundreds of youth games. INWsn and Gerald Barnhart also provide communications and photography services for area teams and businesses.
