SPOKANE,WA—(club release) The Evergreen Premier League and Northwest Premier League unveiled their 2016 season schedules Wednesday. Both leagues will kick off with a combined seven games on May 1, three of them doubleheaders, and wrap up the weekend of July 30-31. The Shadow First Teams will continue to call Spokane Falls CC Stadium, where it has won two EPLWA titles, home in 2016.
The Shadow Men’s First Team will embark on their quest for a three-peat championship in EPLWA and the Women’s First Team will make their debut in the newly-created NWPL when the two sides open with a road doubleheader against Yakima United on Sunday, May 1.
The following week, the Shadow will play host to their first doubleheader of the campaign on Saturday, May 7. The Women’s First Team will make its home debut when they play host to Twin Cities Union, a standalone side that is competing in the NWPL only. The Men’s First Team will face the Vancouver Victory in the second half of the doubleheader.
The season wraps up July 30 for the Shadow First Teams when they play host to South Sound. The Shock men’s team has taken the title race to the final weeks with the Shadow the past two seasons, making the final game a potential championship showdown if both sides rise to the top of the table once again in 2016.
Gameday tickets good for both matches will be $10 for adults and $7 for children 15 and under. Visit SpokaneSC.org for information on ticket packages to save.
