After the Reds moved out of town the rivalry was renewed with the birth of the Evergreen Premier League in 2014, which saw the launch of the lastest era of the Spokane Shadow.

The first EPLWA match between the two was a thriller, picking right up where the previous incarnations left off. Yakima drew first blood with their only win in the new series so far, a 3-2 conquest on May 11, 2014 at Spokane Falls CC Stadium. Since then the Shadow have won three straight, but the final scores have all been close.

Last season the Shadow wore the crown as defending league champions (they will do the same in 2016) but that didn’t serve to make the matches with Yakima any easier. The Shadow scored the largest margin of victory in the EPLWA series so far, just 2 goals in a 2-0 Spokane win at The Falls in May 2015. The second leg last year was a 2-1 Spokane win at Marquette.

The two-time EPLWA champion Shadow have never lost an away match, going 12-0-2 over two seasons.

The match is a nightcap of a doubleheader. The Spokane Shadow Women and Yakima United Women will both make their historic debuts in the Northwest Premier League (NWPL) in a 2 PM kick off Sunday at Marquette.
