Is your cup half empty, or half full? That’s what four Evergreen Premier League clubs will have to decide today after two 1-1 draws on Sunday June 12 saw each side get a share of points in an ever-tightening league table.

Vancouver clings to the top spot via a head-to-head tiebreaker over Spokane. Bellingham United got just one point from two weekend matches but hangs on to third place. South Sound jumps back up to fourth while Wenatchee and Olympic hang around on the edges of contention.

It’s important to notice the second column – “Played”- which indicates how many matches each club has already completed. Vancouver has matches in hand (possible points to earn) on every other challenger.

A battle for top spot ended in a draw Sunday in Bellingham.

Bellingham United 1-1 Vancouver Victory

The marquee match of the weekend had a bit of fizz taken out of it when the Hammers were clobbered 6-2 by the Olympic Force in Bremerton the night before. Still, the Hammers could jump into a tie with the Victory with a win.

Instead, V2FC led most of the match before a late equalizer from BUFC. Kyle Witzel scored the late strike for Bellingham in the 82nd minute. Antonio Porecco scored in the 39th to stake the Victory to a 1-0 lead.

Olympic Force 1-1 Wenatchee FC

The Olympic Force scored in the 83rd minute to grab a point at home against Wenatchee FC. The Capitals took the lead 1-0 in the 69th minute on a volley from Jonathan Rodrguez (see video.) Bennett Bugbee got the equalizer in the 83rd minute (see video) for the Force.
