The Shadow organization had announced earlier in the day that their new structure would see them call the EPLWA team “Shadow 2,” with the club’s new NPSL side becoming their Men’s First Team. The Force welcomed this new Spokane with a complete performance. Shadow 2’s only shot on goal came in the 90th minute of play.

By that time Olympic had sealed a win thanks to a penalty kick conversion from Diego Aceves in the first half and a 79th minute goal by Bennett Bugbee off of a nice assist from Enrique Hidalgo.

In three previous seasons Olympic Force (+ WestSound FC) had gone 0-6-0 against Spokane and were outscored 20-3 over those matches.

Shadow 2 Head Coach Mike Pellicio made his Evergreen Premier League coaching debut in the loss.

Tyler Ohata got the shut out for the Force with dominant central defender play from Brodie Steigerwald. Force indoor season standout Enrique Hidalgo was a constant threat and pain in the Shadow’s side.
