The Evergreen Premier League announces that the EPLWA Players of the Week for matches played June 17 and 18 are Tyler Bjork (Offense) and Danny Minniti (Defense.)
Tyler and Danny are two of the veteran guys in the Evergreen Premier League that keep the level of play high and are fun to watch week in, week out. Both have won Player of the Week honors before. In fact, Danny was the first-ever winner over on the offensive side back in late April 2015. Tyler is the all-time leading scorer in EPLWA history and is on a pace to break last year’s record 14 goals – so naturally he’s received sox before – most recently back on May 21 of this season.

TYLER BJORK (OFFENSE) – Seattle Stars
On Saturday June 17 Tyler Bjork scored four goals as his Seattle Stars pounded the Oly Town Artesians 6-1 at French Field in Kent. The dynamic striker now has 11 goals on the season, an average of 1.4 goals per match. “Tyler has added a dimension of speed, professionalism and leadership to Seattle Stars,” says Margarito Vasquez, club founder. “Saturday was another example of how he can affect the flow and direction of a match.” The goals were Tyler’s 42nd, 43rd, 44th and 45th in his four seasons playing in the EPLWA.

DANNY MINNITI (DEFENSE) – WPSS Shock
On the other side of the pitch Danny Minniti has already shown he still has the scorers touch – but he is being honored for his defensive work against Yakima United on Saturday June 17 at WPFC Fields Complex in Puyallup. “Countless times does he not only lock down the defense but also can help get into the attack,” says Shock Head Coach Adam Becker. “Every time Yakima tried to come down his side he was able to disrupt play, and keep possession under pressure.”

About the Players of the Week honors
The Evergreen Premier League will be selecting an offensive and defensive Player of the Week each week during the 2017 season. The Players of the Week will be acknowledged with a pair of custom, unique socks featuring the EPLWA logo. The socks are from Rock’Em Apparel, the Official Provider of the weekly reward. The league worked with Rock’Em Apparel to finalize the look of the socks. The league logo is complemented by a rendering of George Washington in the State seal.
The phrase “Rock ‘Em” represents the willingness to achieve greatness; to go above and beyond limits,” says www.RockEmApparel.com.
Evergreen Premier League players will work to do just that for their clubs this season. The best of the best will have cool custom socks to show off around town for their efforts.
