Buchanan’s hat trick propels Seattle Stars past Vancouver

TUKWILA, WA— Seattle University forward Cody Buchanan scored three goals on Saturday May 19 at Starfire Sports Stadium as Seattle Stars (2-1-0) blanked Vancouver Victory FC (1-2-0) 4-0.

Buchanan’s outburst came over just 13 minutes of play split up by the halftime whistle.

His goals came in the 44th minute (assist to Jason Rodriguez), 48th and 57th (unassisted.)

The Stars finished their rout with a fourth goal in the 76th minute from James Smith (Washington Huskies.)

The shut out in goal for Seattle went to Andrew Metcalfe, another Redhawks player.
