Week four saw the two King County clubs take a big step forward going 3-0-1. Seattle picked up six points while PacNW managed a draw and handily knocked off Vancouver. For their efforts, EPLWA coaches and club operators chose one player from these teams as their Offensive and Defensive Players Of The Week for week four.
Offensive: The Seattle Stars won twice over the weekend and Marcus Machado score three times to lead the team to second place in the Cascade Conference. The Highline Community College product scored what proved to be the game winner in the 47th minute on the road to Vancouver on Saturday and then scored twice against Yakima United in their 3-2 win at home on Sunday.
Defensive: PacNW SC picked up a draw on Saturday in a hard fought battle against the Oly-Pen Force and then romped over the Vancouver Victory on Sunday, 5-0. University of Washington defender Ryan Sailor was on the back line for both games, and drew raves from his coach, saying that Sailor showed great maturity for a younger player and did a great job reading the game and anticipating most plays.
